NEW FILM ANNOUNCED

Cannes, France (May 16, 2009) – Academy Award-winners Dustin Lance Black and Jennifer Connelly are teaming up with Academy Award-nominee Liam Neeson for the feature, WHAT’S WRONG WITH VIRGINIA. The film was written by MILK screenwriter Black, who is also set to direct. Hopwood DePree and Scott Brooks of TicTock Studios will finance the picture and will produce along with Killer Films’ Christine Vachon, and Eric Watson. Two-time Academy Award nominee, Gus Van Sant, will take on executive produce duties alongside ROAR’s Jay Froberg and Greg Suess. Ellen Wander of Film Bridge International will handle international distribution. Creative Artists Agency (CAA) packaged the project and is selling domestic distribution rights. The production is targeting a late summer start date in Michigan.

TicTock Studios is a Michigan-owned production company founded in 2006 to attract film and television production to Michigan by providing film financing, development, job training, and production resources.
