GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - Long-time Grand Rapids disc jockey Aris Hampers was on the air during the rise and fall of Michael Jackson's popularity.
He spoke with 24 Hour News 8's Web managing editor Tim Steele about Jackson's career.
Jackson, the "King of Pop" who emerged from childhood superstardom to become the entertainment world's most influential singer and dancer before his life and career deteriorated in a series of scandals, died Thursday.
He was 50. Jackson died in a Los Angeles hospital.
