GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - Grand Rapids' latest movie shoot, which involves local crews, is getting close to wrapping up.

24 Hour News 8 had cameras at the set of "Caught in the Crossfire" Monday night.

The police drama, starring Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson, Chris Klein and Adam Rodriguez, began shooting two weeks ago.

Director Brian Miller is a graduate of East Grand Rapids High School and Grand Valley State University.

Veteran TV actor Richard Jones joined the shoot for a pivotal scene.

"The second thing that brought us to Grand Rapids is the beautiful city," said R.D. Miller, the film's producer. "It allows us to make a movie with the feel of a big city without the big-city pricing."

Michigan's film incentives are expected to bring the filmmakers back to Grand Rapids. The director, producer and 50 Cent have said they want to bring a future project to the area.
