GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - After months of behind-the-scenes work and preparation, 24 Hour News 8 on WOOD TV8 is now in high definition.
The first HD broadcast was 24 Hour News 8 at 6 on Saturday.
“What we do for our viewers isn’t changing. 24 Hour News 8 will continue to lead the way in breaking news, investigative reporting and severe weather coverage” said 24 Hour News 8 News Director Rebecca Sapakie. “Only now it will be in high definition.”
Other local programming on WOOD TV8 will soon be in HD.
HDTV is available for free over the air, and may be viewed on HDTV sets with digital tuners on digital channel 8.1. Cable and Satellite viewers can see WOOD TV8 in their providers HD-Tier. To find other programs in high definition, visit the TV schedule on woodtv.com.
