GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - Four of the five GOP candidates in the race for governor squared off in a debate Thursday night, held at Grand Valley State University and hosted by WOOD TV8.
Attorney General Mike Cox, Oakland County Sheriff Mike Bouchard, State Sen. Tom George and Congressman Pete Hoekstra attended the event, held at Loosemore Auditorium. Businessman Rick Snyder had indicated he wouldn't attend.
The two Democrats hoping to become Michigan's next governor -- Lansing Mayor Virg Bernero and House Speaker Andy Dillon -- drew some sharp contrasts for voters in a head-to-head debate Monday.
