GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - Gubernatorial candidates Rick Snyder and Virg Bernero are in two different Detroit locations on Tuesday, waiting for election results to come in with their respective Republican and Democratic supporters.
Snyder's camp is set up at the Westin Book Cadillac, while Lansing Mayor Bernero is stationed at MGM Grand.
Candidates for the 2nd district, Republican Bill Huizenga and Democrat Fred Johnson, are in Holland on Tuesday. Huizenga is at Boatwerks Restaurant and Johnson is set up at the Midtown Center.
Justin Amash, running against Pat Miles to fill Vern Ehlers' 3rd district congressional seat, is at Peppino's in Grand Rapids. Miles and his supporters are camped out at Aquinas College's Wege Center.
Others set to gather at Peppino's after the polls close include the slate Republicans hope will represent Kent County in Lansing: Dave Hildenbrand, Lisa Posthumus Lyons, Peter MacGregor, Tom Hooker and Ken Yonker. State house candidate Bing Goei is set to make an appearance as well.
For the 7th district, Tim Walburg is at Darryl's Downtown, in Jackson, and Mark Schauer is set up at McCamly Plaza Hotel, in Battle Creek.
