GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - February is the month for chocolate hearts, long-stem roses and pretty valentine cards, and for learning more about heart disease and ways to fight it. The American Heart Association is behind the nationwide "Go Red for Women" effort and locally, some high school athletes are doing their part to get the message out, too. Joy stops by Ottawa Hills High School in Grand Rapids where the boy's and girl's basketball teams are getting ready to hit the hardwood on Friday night in a benefit game to fight heart disease. Come get your Red Out T-shirt and cheer them on!
