GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - While winter resists its retreat, spring will soon be upon us. Our snowy lawns once again will be green making our yards ideal for a picturesque garden. To help prepare ourselves for spring, Frederick Meijer Gardens is hosting a Spring-Gardening Mini-Series. Starting on Thursday, March 21, classes will be taught by West Michigan experts supplying wondrous ideas to help achieve an even more beautiful garden.

Growing Vegetables from Seed, Patio Vegetables: Thinking Outside the Plot, "Underground" Vegetables,
Tuesday, March 26, the classes will cover:
Garden Design: Composition in the Garden, Perennials: The Power of One, Drought Tolerant Landscapes
Tuesday, April 9, classes will look at:
Year-Round Container Gardens, Wildflowers for the Home Garden, The Deer Resistant Garden
Thursday, April 11, classes will show:
Gardening in the Shade, Rhododendrons and More, and Pruning Trees and Shrubs
