GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - The tires are four inches wide and can travel through just about any terrain. That makes Fat Bikes the perfect tool to keep you active all winter long. In fact, Michigan is second only to Alaska in Fat Bike ownership, and now there are several events planned to give you an idea of what it's all about. Come to Indian Trails Golf Course on January 20 and join the FatBike GRR event . The City of Grand Rapids i s teaming up with Central District Cyclery and Striders to help you keep active in the city parks during the winter months. In addition to the FatBike GRR events, there are snowshoe events planned, too. Striders will be at the January 20 FatBike event and you can watch snowshoe demos at the course. On February 1, you can join the Groundhog Eve Moonlight Snowshoe run that starts at the Kent Trails trail head at 7:30 p.m. Sign up for both and keep active all winter long!
