GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - Just in time for the January freeze, Degage Ministries has expanded its shelter for women, providing more people with a place where they can come in out of the cold. But when it's time for them to head back out, lots of women and the men who come to Degage, too, don't have the basics for winter like hats and gloves. Your donations of these much desired items are needed now. Everyday, hundreds stop by Degage to have a hot cup of coffee, a conversation with friends and a chance to warm up their bodies and their souls. As you reach into your own closet to chose from your variety of winter accessories, see if there is something gently used that you can offer to someone who is now going without. Degage's Executive Director Marge Palmerlee joined Joy at Riverside Integrated Systems, a big supporter of Degage's mission, to share the need. Whether you are a business that can give back in a big way or an everyday person with a big heart and a pair of new gloves to give, every donation will be immediately put to good use and appreciated by someone who will be a little warmer because of your love.
