MUSKEGON, Mich. (WOOD) - Many people don't realize that there is a big discrepancy between the number of deaf people and the number of trained, certified interpreters in Michigan. Baker College in Muskegon offers an interpreter training program and we invited Department Chair Valerie Boerema and Amy Van Oordt, a certified interpreter and Gina Dascola, a student of the program, in to share their experiences and successes with us.
