The tree lights & the holidays begin

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) -  Downtown Grand Rapids lights up for the holidays at 5 p.m. November 30 when the switch is flipped for the Grand Rapids Art Museum's holiday tree.  The 42 ft. Michigan blue spruce is bedazzled with more than 40,000 LED lights. A skating performance by Kimberly Scott introduced by Mayor Heartwell happens at 5:30 p.m. followed by free horse drawn carriage rides until 8 p.m.  You can enjoy Magic & Music: A Surreal Performance inside the GRAM lobby, then step upstairs to see their Real/Surreal exhibition.  During December you can
