GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - The Special Olympics World Games take place in Korea at the end of January and two West Michigan athletes are getting ready to go for the gold. Amy Kaptein of Jenison will compete in cross country skiing and Damon Cassesse of Caledonia will take on the snow boarders. Both are already accomplished athletes with many medals between them. Before they head far east, the pair came West to share their excitement and the journey of becoming Special Olympians.
