Make it a priority in 2013

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - One of the biggest health problems many Americans face is not cancer or heart disease or the flu - it's obesity. Many health experts agree that if we can get obesity under control, the overall health of our nation will be greatly improved. Priority Health, Mercy Health and Spectrum Health have teamed up to host ShapeMichigan, an event to address Michigan's biggest health crisis, which is obesity. This event will bring together key decision makers from local businesses, communities and schools to discuss how obesity is impacting them and to share best practices. ShapeMichigan has also teamed up with the Living Well Grand Rapids expo, an event open to anyone interested in getting connected to the region's health and wellness resources. Priority Health is hosting a kid's poster contest, too, to get children involved in positive lifestyle changes. Maranda will be at the Living Well Grand Rapids event and will help honor the poster contest winner. Priority Health makes living well a priority every day of the year. Check out the links below to see how Maranda has highlighted their at work solutions to getting active every day.
