GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - The excitement of the London Olympic Games is contagious. If watching your favorite sports inspires you to get more active, we found a place for you to test the waters. Jordan Carson checks in with the professionals at the Grand Rapids Rowing Association to find out how beginners can take part in this historic sport. If you don't have previous rowing experience, the Rowing Association offers adult learn to row classes. For those with a little more rowing experience but no interest in competition, there are several recreational crews. If you are up for serious team action, you can join the Adult Competitive Team Crew. Get a special look at Michigan's impact on the Summer games on July 27 at 7 p.m. when WOOD TV8 airs Sports Director Jack Dole's special "Olympic Hopes, Gold Dreams" right before opening ceremonies in London at 7:30 p.m.
