KALAMAZOO, Mich. (WOOD) - Kids are always looking for a new adventure and and as parents, we love activities they can get their hands to help them learn. There's one spot in West Michigan where kids can go on a treasure hunt, meet an ancient mummy, and explore the world of space travel - all for free! Rachael takes us inside the Kalamazoo Valley Museum to show us what's new and exciting. The Uneasy Years Exhibition opens June 30 and there will be an opening celebration July 1 at 1 p.m. including music, a lecture and a discussion. On Wednesday afternoons July 11 - August 15, kids can enjoy "Hands On Wednesdays" you check out the Challenger Learning Center, too. That particular event does require a $3 ticket to participate. Otherwise, the Kalamazoo Valley Museum is absolutely free! You can check them out at most of Maranda's Park Parties this summer, too.
