Morning Chat: Explore Traverse City

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - Rachael returns from her work trip in beautiful Traverse City. She and photographer Amanda Harper took a getaway up north for a lot of hard work mixed with some fun to explore Traverse City and all it has to offer. They shot five different stories that will be airing soon on eightWest. With spring break just around the corner, Traverse is the perfect destination for a fun and not-too-expensive trip. The Great Wolf Lodge is an indoor water park with that Northern Michigan feel and is fun for the whole family. There are also plenty of great restaurants, including Red Ginger, an Asian cuisine favorite of Rachael's located right in downtown Traverse City. The girls also visited Relish, a clothing store located in Warehouse Marketplace, as well as Ciccone Vineyard, a perfect wedding destination that is owned by Madonna's father! No matter what you end up doing, Traverse City is a prime family trip destination just two hours north of Grand Rapids.
