Morning Chat: Great Wolf Lodge

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - It's definitely winter in Michigan! Tons of schools are closed not only because of the snow, but because of a near 20 below zero wind chill, too. It can be hard to find a warm getaway during the cold days of winter, but Rachael and her family discovered a great place to visit if you're in a winter slump. For Rachael's daughter Coco's birthday celebration last weekend, the family took a road trip to Traverse City to stay at the Great Wolf Lodge ! This water park is a wilderness inspired city inside a lodge, adorned with bears, wolves and other creatures of the wild. The lodge was a perfect surprise destination for Coco's birthday celebration. There are water slides for kids of all ages, and the 84 degree environment is perfect for a winter getaway.
