GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - The holiday spirit is alive in West Michigan and Maranda is ready to share it. She has a long list of family friendly things going on including all of the following:
Friday, November 30 from 6-8pm
The city of Douglas will glow with candle lights, carolers and Santa and his elves.
Christmas Parades are taking place on Saturday morning in communities around West Michigan including Hastings, Wyoming, Rockford, Lowell and White Lake just to name a few!
Christmas for the Animals
Saturday, December 1 from 10am-2pm
John Ball Zoo - Grand Rapids
Bring some goodies for the animals and see the animals in action. Zookeepers will be holding special enrichment times for kids to interact with the animals. See the Zoo's website for "wish list" items.
Meet Santa at the AirZoo
Saturday, December 1 from 1-3pm
AirZoo - Portage
Santa is flying into the AirZoo and kids can stop by between 1-3pm to meet him.
Holidays at the Homestead
Sunday, December 2 from 1-4pm
Kalamazoo Nature Center
Step back in time and enjoy holiday celebrations in a beautifully decorated 1858 farm house. Enjoy crafts like gingerbread making and more!
