LAKE ODESSA, Mich. (WOOD) - The decision to adopt a dog is a big one. There are a lot of things to consider including the breed, the dog's personality and what type of dog will best fit your family's needs. The folks at Mackenzie's Animal Sanctuary have successfully placed thousands of dogs and the best part is that they really get to know the dog's personality and find the best fit for your home.
Mackenzie's Animal Sanctuary, is the largest sheltered no-kill sanctuary in the Midwest. Located in Lake Odessa, the goal of the shelter is to save dogs in need and place them in loving homes that will give them the love and companionship they deserve.
Mackenzie's maintains the highest standards of care for the animals, including veterinary care, housing, love, tenderness and compassion. To adopt a dog from Mackenzie's Animal Sanctuary, the cost is $150. This covers some of the medical cost of the spay or neuter, shots, heartworm preventative and micro-chipping.
