GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - There is so much musical talent in West Michigan, and St. Cecilia is making an effort to showcase some local artists. Cathy Holbrook is the executive director of St. Cecilia Music Center , and she joins singer and songwriter Michael Crittenden of Troll for Trout in studio to talk about their brand new series, Local Spins. Starting on January 10, Local Spins will feature Michigan folk artists in unplugged performances at Royce Auditorium in Grand Rapids. The series is aimed at focusing solely on music in a concert setting. Michael Crittenden is one of the many musicians as well as the musical director of Local Spins, and he says that Royce Auditorium is a pure environment to enjoy music and give local musicians a chance to play in a great space.
