Local music honors & a cure for cabin fever

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - Lots of our favorite local musical friends will be honored at the annual WYCE Jammie Awards on February 22 at the Intersection and you're invited. This free, family friendly event puts dozens of talented West Michigan acts on stage while honors are presented in many genres of music including folk, rock, blues, jazz and world beat. The event is being held on a Friday night for the first time and the doors open at 5:30 p.m..  There is no admission fee to attend, but donations of non-perishable food items and new and gently used clothing  will be accepted for area non-profit organizations.  Plus, W YCE and The West Michigan Blues Society welcome the return of the Cabin Fever Blues Series to Billy's Lounge. All shows start at 8pm.  This venue is 21 and up.
