GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - They come together to help build self-esteem and prevent teenage substance use. The Kent County Prevention Coalition is a finalist for the 2012 Connecting with Community Award. Their big event is a youth summit held in downtown Grand Rapids at DeVos Place. Hundreds of students from all over West Michigan come to "Live Out Loud" as city leaders, community members and students share their stories to help encourage youth to live above the influence.
