In the Image needs your help

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - We know there are many families in our community who are struggling to make ends meet. Just buying the basic necessities can be a struggle, so there's not a lot of room in the budget for anything extra. That is where In the Image comes in. It's a special  place in Grand Rapids where families with little or no income can get clothing and household items free of charge.

The mission of In the Image it to provide for families in a manner that enhances dignity, embraces choice and encourages participation and builds a community of diversity

In the Image is able to help so many in our community thanks to the generosity of others. If you have clothing donations, they can be dropped off at 1823 South Division Avenue in Grand Rapids:

Monday, Wednesday and Fridays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Saturdays from 9 a.m. to Noon

In The Image will gladly pick up used major appliances such as refrigerators, stoves, washers and dryers. The only request is that they are in good working condition. To schedule a pick-up, call or email Barb Smith bsmith@intheimage.org.
