Kent County Youth Fair

LOWELL, Mich (WOOD) - Every year, the Kent County Youth Fair brings animals, families, music and fun together for a week of wonder in West Michigan. They have an important addition to add to the mix this year.  Teens and adults will be able to get behind the wheel, but not in a real car.  Instead, they can 'drive' a high-tech simulator that shows people the consequences of driving drunk.  Rachael's giving us a preview and explains why they decided to feature this at the fair this summer in memory of a young boy involved with the event who was killed by a drunk driver.  The simulator and "Save a Life" tour have been all over the world. with stops at high schools, colleges, malls, and military bases.  You can experience it at The Kent County Youth Fair August 6 through the 11 at the Kent County Fairgrounds in Lowell  There's no charge to attend the fair or to experience the simulator., but it does cost $6 to park.  The memories build and lessons learned don't have a price tag.
