GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - Glassblowing is a craft that's been around for centuries and the things that can be made with this are form are not only functional, but beautiful as well. It takes a lot of skill, special equipment and an artistic touch. Rachael met up with Scott and John at Grand Rapids Glassblowing Studio to give it a try. If you are interested in some hands on experience with it, the studio will be open in the spring and different workshops where you can make glass flowers, paperweights, and ornaments will be offered. Scott and John are accomplished artists and their pieces can be found at Frederik Meijer Gardens Gift Shop and galleries around West Michigan.
