GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - What if you could see history come to life? Now, you can! The Grand Rapids Public Museum is hosting its annual Night at Your Museum on December 27, from 6 p.m. - 9 p.m.. Kate Moore describes the fun which is based on the 2006 and 2009 movies. It includes medieval knights dueling with swords, Native American performances of ceremonial dances in full regalia, and Civil War soldiers re-enacting skirmishes. The Spillman Carousel will whirl to life throughout the evening, and guests can catch one of six scheduled planetarium shows. Guests will receive a souvenir flashlight and honorary security guard badge when they enter the dimly-lit museum. Visitors will then become part of the drama that unfolds as characters from the exhibits come to life on all three floors of the museum. Tickets are $20 per person and include dinner provided by Noodles & Company. Proceeds from the event benefit programs and exhibitions at the Grand Rapids Public Museum. Museum.
