GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - When someone suffers from heart failure, it typically means the heart can't properly pump blood throughout their body. This condition unfortunately effects many Americans and is the leading cause of hospitalization and death.
To combat this and raise awareness, Spectrum Health is hosting an event to share ways for you to take care of your heart. On Thursday March 14 from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Spectrum Health presents "Doctor Dialogue: Heart and Vascular Care" at the Prince Conference Center at Calvin College.
The program will talk about the risks of heart failure, symptoms and prevention. Spectrum Health offers the largest heart failure unit along with the only heart transplant program in West Michigan. Stop by the event to learn more about how to love your heart.
