GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - Make the Monday blahs disappear with a big dose of LaughfteRx ! A few good laughs can go a long way to making us feel better, physically and emotionally. Seriously funny stuff is happening all over downtown Grand Rapids during Gilda's LaughFest including the kick off of LaughteRx March 11 at 6 p.m. at the Grand Rapids Art Museum with Vanessa King. The series focuses on the emotional health benefits of laughter, and eightWest encourages you to take it in large doses. Terri Tate speaks on March 12 at 6pm and Bernie Siegel is the LaughteRx Keynote. He's an internationally known physician, author and patient advocate and he'll share his message of hope and healing. Opening for Dr. Siegel is award winning comic, juggler and cancer survivor Scott Burton. Kelly Epperson rounds out the fun on March 14 at 6pm. Lots of laughs will also be shared by local trio The Don't We Boys who often perform at Dog Story Theatre. Get linked to all things LaughFest at www.laughfestgr.org.
