GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - 2012 is winding down and 2013 will be here before we know it. The end of the year is a good time to purge some of those things you don't use or need and Goodwill Industries is ready to take those items off your hands. Items to donate include clothing, household items, toys in good condition, keeping the one year rule in mind. If you haven't used it or worn in in a year, it's time to donate it. If you're not sure if it's in good enough condition, still donate and let Goodwill decide. Items might go to the Outlet Center or be recycled including electronics, cell phones and even those holiday lights that no longer work. You have through December 31 to include donations as tax deductions. Visit any of our Goodwill retail store locations or attended donation centers. Find a complete list of locations at goodwillgr.org. Your donations help support Goodwill's job training programs and putting people back to work in our community and they help provide great merchandise for Goodwill shoppers who are looking for affordable options.
