GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - Bring the family for a day of celebrating your heritage and the mix of many who live in West Michigan at the Grand Rapids Public Museum. From Greek dancing to African drumming to an international beer tasting, there is something for everyone all under one roof in Grand Rapids January 26.
The DTE Energy Ethnic Heritage Festival is a day-long celebration of music, dance, crafts and food representing the various ethnic groups that call West Michigan home. Kate Moore of the Grand Rapids Public Museum previews their annual event that begins at 9 a.m. and features a variety of organizations, performances, beer tastings and presentations. The Museum Café will feature ethnic food selections and there will be a special International Beer Tasting from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. in the Overlook Room on the Museum's third floor. An additional charge for the tasting is $6 and this part of the event is open only to those 21 and over. Tickets will be available at the door. Stop by Saturday to take part in all the fun!
