Busting some sun myths

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - July 2012 is one of the hottest months on record in West Michigan and that means many of us have been spending time in the sun.  We turned to Melissa Charles from Amway's ARTISTRY   for opinions about summer and skincare.  ARTISTRY has a great relationship with the Miss America Organization, so we're excited to have the new Miss Michigan Angela Venditti join our conversation. They start by busting a few common myths. 

Myth #1: Tanning beds are safer than tanning in direct sun.
Myth #2: Sun can't penetrate through windows.
Myth #3: SPF 30 is the highest level I need in a sunscreen.
Myth #4: Myth: Getting a tan zaps zits.
Myth #5: You can't get a sun burn on a cloudy day.
