GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - The Literacy Center of West M ichigan helps empower people through reading and they need your help. Volunteers for their adult tutoring program are in demand. Jennifer Griffith, a tutor with the program, and Nori Lara, an adult learner in the program, share how the program works and how you can help by attending a Volunteer Tutor Orientation on October 4 or 10. For more information on becoming a volunteer tutor, call the Literacy Center of West Michigan at 616-459-5151 or go to www.literacycenterwm.org. You can also help by donating gently used children's books for students up to grade nine at several West Michigan locations.
