LAKE ODESSA, MIch. (WOOD) - 2013 may be your perfect year to add to your family with a special four footed friend. Mackenzie's Animal Sanctuary would like to introduce you to an active little guy named Ernie. He's a two-year-old Beagle/Australian Shepard Mix who is up to date on all of his vaccinations, including Rabies. He is also neutered, heartworm negative, on heartworm preventative, and he's been treated for fleas and ticks, dewormed and microchipped. Ernie is still quite the youngster. He loves to play and needs a family that can give him lots of time to learn his commands and work on lead training. He has plenty of energy and would benefit from a large fenced in area to run and play and get his sniff on. He is very sweet and loving and would make a wonderful addition to any family. He loves his tug toys and likes to run around the yard with the best of them. While at Mackenzie's, he has been doing some agility training. They believe he has springs in those back legs because he can jump over very high hurdles! Another dog in the house would be okay with Ernie, too, or maybe even a cat. If you would like to make Ernie part of your family, you can meet him at Mackenzie's Animal Sanctuary . The cost of adopting is $150, and the process is very thorough, including visits at Mackenzie's and in your home.
