GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - Any mother of a teenager knows the importance of helping them make positive decisions in their lives. This weekend that message takes center stage at Pure Passion for Fashion .
Passion for Fashion is a nationally-known peer-to-peer education program that encourages the importance of positive decision making, self-image, and healthy relationships in a high-impact, multi-media event using fashion, drama, music, video, and speaking.
Pure Passion for Fashion will take place on Friday, March 8 from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m at Kentwood Community Church. The event includes a parent workshop from 5:45-6:45 p.m. and a family dinner. There will also be activities taking place during the workshop for teens.
Starting at 7 p.m. the main show begins with nationally-known recording artist George Moss and youth speaker David Mahan. Local teens will model trendy but modest fashions from area retailers. The program will share about sexual risk avoidance while highlighting student interest in fashion and will encourage teens to set positive future goals as a motivator for making healthy decisions.
Please RSVP to 616-942-2110 for the workshop. Tickets to the show can be purchased online for $5 at www.purepassionforfashion.org
