GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - Lynne Koss of Goodwill Community Relations shares a fabulous aspect of Goodwill Industries - turning books into money for jobs for those in need. About ten-percent of all books donated are sold on-line. This allows you to buy speciality books, such as photography & textbooks. Goodwill is a also a vendor on amazon like any other seller of books on-line. Books are also sold on half.com and an e-bay program also features CD, DVD, and video game sales The Goodwill on-line book program processes five to six thousand orders per month, which means the profits for Goodwill are between ten and fifteen thousand dollars per month Goodwill also employs four additional employees because of this program. Goodwill Industries uses the profits from this program for it's main mission, training people to re-enter the workforce.
