Morning Chat: Gorgeous gingerbread

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - Some say the Mayan calendar shows the world will end December 21, but some experts say the calendar is just the end of a cycle, much like how December 31 marks the end of one solar year.   Rachael put the question on facebook , "What would you do if you knew the world was going to end on Friday?"  Some of the answers may surprise you. Add yours to her page!  In the spirit of the holiday season, our friends at Waterford Place have put a new twist on the traditional gingerbread building this year.  Their very talented Pastry Chef, Sara Minerd, has outdone herself once again by creating a gingerbread mall. Every year, Sara spends hours and hours perfecting a new creation for residents and their guests to enjoy during the holiday season.  Stop by to see it for yourself. Waterford Place is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily and they are located on Port Sheldon in Jenison.
