Thank you for supporting the Muscular Dystrophy Association! This past weekend WOTV 4 and the Muscular Dystrophy Association teamed up for the 13th year for the Jerry Lewis MDA Labor Day Telethon. The MDA Telethon was broadcast live at Craig’s Cruisers Grand Rapids on WOTV 4 on September 7 where more than $271,000 was raised to support children and adults in West Michigan living with Muscular Dystrophy. The MDA Telethon was hosted by WOTV 4 and WOOD TV 8
personalities including Maranda and Eva Aguirre Cooper and Storm
Team 8 Meteorologists Bill Steffen and Terri DeBoer. Muscular
Dystrophy Association radio partner Dave Benson of WKFR also joined
them. Donations were made over the two days by West Michigan
businesses as well as residents who called in their pledges of
support. All proceeds raised stay in West Michigan to support
programs of the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
The Muscular Dystrophy Association is a national program that
raises both funds and awareness for the special needs of children
and adults living with more than 40 unique Neuromuscular diseases.
