WOOD TV8 and our Community Parnters are pleased to honor all of
the collaborations nominated for their efforts to bring people
together to solve problems and make our community stronger.
With so many remarkable entries, it was very difficult for our
selection committee to narrow down the list and come up with eight
finalists. Each of the finalists will be featured in an
upcoming Connecting With Community segment with Eva Aguirre Cooper
during 24 Hour News8 and on line.
All those nominated will be honored at the Connecting With
Community Awards Celebration on January 22, 2009 at the Gerald R.
Ford Presidential Museum in Grand Rapids. At that time, the
first Connecting With Community Award winner will be chosen from
the finalists. Below is a list of nominees and finalists for
this awards. Congratulations to all for your outstanding
efforts to make West Michigan a better place to live for all of us.
