What is it ... This is our third year celebrating the “Connecting with Community” Awards looking to recognize collaborative community partnerships in West Michigan. We know there is great work in the community and we want to highlight it. No project is too big or too small if it makes a positive impact. These Connecting with Community Awards are based on inspiration, partnership, long lasting impact in areas like Community Service, Literacy, Diversity, Health, Education and Safety.
Who is it for … We are looking for two or more entities working together requiring each other’s resources and support to accomplish their goals. It can be a business, non-profit, educational group or individuals. Their work together should improve and benefit the community and help solve existing problems.
When ... We are looking for community projects that are on-going and have goals with measurable results.
Deadline for nominations is February 28, 2011.
Here’s How to Nominate:
Finalists will be featured on Connecting with Community on 24 Hour News 8 during the months of March and April 2011. A celebration reception with all the winners will be held in May of 2011 at the Gerald R. Ford Museum.
