GRAND RAPIDS, MI (WOOD-TV8) - 30 groups across West Michigan came together to help build teen self-esteem and prevent under age substance use.
Kent County Prevention Coalition is our final Connecting with Community Awards finalist. KCPC uses many outreaches and events to share their message with youth. Their big event this year was a youth summit held in downtown Grand Rapids at DeVos Place.
680 students together from all over West Michigan to "Live Out Loud" event. City leaders, community members and student leaders shared their stories to help encourage the youth to live about the influence.
