Grand Rapids, MI (WOOD) - Many families in West Michigan are struggling as they get their children ready for school this fall. One area not-profit is working to make sure kids start the year with a free new pair of shoes.
Families in Grand Rapids, Wyoming and Kentwood lined up around the building to receive the new shoes. Last year 10,000 kids were able to gain more self confidence by wearing the free new shoes to school.
You can help their mission by donating to In the Image. It only takes $10 dollars to buy a child new shoes. You could also donate used shoes and clothes. That can be used by In the Image to purchase new shoes for kids. If you can't donate money or items volunteers are needed.
