W MI raises about $271K at MDA telethon
Nationally, telethon raises about $60 million

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - The 44th annual Muscular Dystrophy Association telethon was held nationwide this Labor Day weekend.
Once again, West Michigan donated hundreds of thousands of dollars for Jerry's Kids. This time: $271,943.
Nationwide, the telethon brought in more than $60 million for MDA, which is about $4.5 million less than last year's total.
