Thanksgiving turkey drop

GRAND RAPIDS Mich (WOOD) - Mel Trotter Ministries is teaming with WOOD radio for the Sixth Annual turkey drop Wednesday November 18, 2009 from 7:00am to 7:00pm.
The community is invited to drop off frozen turkeys today at a number of locations throughout the West Michigan area. Once you drop-off your turkey, you can enter to win a free freezer from that location.
The Newsradio WOOD 1300 staff will be at Celebration Cinema North, Knapp NE & the E. Beltline, giving certificate for a free coffee from Panera Bread to all those who donate a turkey.
Last year they successfully surpassed their goal of 1000 turkeys. The turkeys will be used as part of Mel Trotter's Great Thanksgiving Food Giveaway, providing families in need with the opportunity to enjoy a hearty Thanksgiving meal.
