GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - Your generous donations to the Christmas in May campaign are now being distributed through area pantries.

Here's the main things you need to know if you want to receive assistance from a food pantry:

  • Every geographic area has a designated food pantry that serves that community
  • If you don't know which pantry serves your neighborhood, call the United Way's 2-1-1 line. In Kent County, you can also call 616.459.2255, where they can also give you information for other counties.
  • Bring proof of your address, and proof of how many people live at that address.
  • Bring your income information.
