The hearing experts at Kaczmarski Hearing can do an amazing job
of fine-tuning your hearing instruments with the ReSound Audio
Verification Environment (RAVE) system.
RAVE is a multi-media, surround-sound fitting system. This
remarkably realistic system simulates many "real-world"
environments including ringing telephones, children speaking, noisy
restaurants, and the everyday sounds encountered in a car.
Here's how it works. A patient with hearing instruments sits
in between the surround-sound speakers. An audiologist then plays
any of 250 pre-recorded sounds off of a computer system and asks
how they sound to the patient. Adjustments are then made to the
hearing instruments.
RAVE leads to a more individualized fitting experience that
matches the patient's unique listening needs. In the end, it gives
the patient higher levels of satisfaction and fewer trips back to
the audiologist.
