GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - At the same time the Top 10 for ArtPrize 2012 was announced, St. Cecelia Music Center announced their awards in five different musical artist categories.
For the composition "Concerto for Section Percussion and Orchestra," Shannon Wood earned top spot in the Classical category.
Roger MacNaughton (Cut Time Simfonica) took the Jazz category for the piece, "Grand Traverse Bay."
The Crane Wives , who performed at Rosa Parks Circle as part of the Art Van Concert Series, took the Folk/Country category for their song, "Easier."
The Rock/Blues category was captured by Delilah DeWylde and the Lost Boys for "Win My Love." They also performed in the Art Van Concert Series.
And Michael Cohen Kirtan with Shaki Gayatri took the Pop/Electronic category.
Each artist received $2,000 for being the most voted for artist in each category.
