GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - There are many options regarding where to park your vehicle when you come visit ArtPrize in downtown Grand Rapids.
The world's largest art competition began Wednesday and lasts until Oct. 7.
You can park for free at select Meijer stores, buy your event guides and $5 wristbands at the service counter and take a Rapid bus.
You can also park at Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park and take a shuttle downtown.
The majority of parking meters are free after 6 p.m. and on weekends.
The parking lots/garages that are free after 5 p.m. on weekdays, as well as starting at noon on Saturdays and Sundays --
* Ionia – Mason
* Monroe – North
* Scribner
* Ionia – North
* Douglas between Summer Avenue NW & Mt. Vernon NW
* Winter NW near Douglas
* Seward Avenue NW and Lake Michigan Drive NW
On Fridays, these same lots range in price from $2 to $5 before 5 p.m.
There are many other lots you can park in throughout downtown but they will cost you --
