GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - The winner of the weeks-long ArtPrize competition and $250,000 is Brooklyn, N.Y.-based painter Ran Ortner, who created Open Water No. 24, showing at the Old Federal Building.

Voting for the top 10 wrapped up Wednesday at 11:59 p.m. More than 332,000 votes were cast since the competition began.
Everyone in the top 10 won at least $7,000. The artist in third place received $50,000, and the second-place artist won $100,000.
The announcement was made at DeVos Place in the Steelcase Ballroom. The doors opened at 6 p.m. and entertainment began at 7 p.m.
All of the ArtPrize entries will remain in place through Saturday.
