GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - There's a new Hub for ArtPrize this year, and organizers expect visitors to like what they see when they visit.
Until recently, UICA was located at 41 Sheldon SE. But they've moved into their new facility at the corner of Division and Fulton in downtown Grand Rapids. ArtPrize now occupies their old space on Sheldon.
The space for The Hub was designed by Peter Baldwin of AMDG Architects in Grand Rapids.
Catherine Creamer, the executive director for ArtPrize, told 24 Hour News 8 there is some art at The Hub, but in a way to not show favoritism. Last year's winning entry, Chris LaPorte's "Cavalry," hangs at The Hub.
Beginning at 9 a.m. Saturday, there is an open house at The Hub when, organizers said, is the first chance for voters to activate their voting account.
